Awards and recognition

Having completed one and half decade of teaching Physics passionately,  I am now going to be awarded for my efforts. The news came as a pleasant surprise but what is baffling me currently is the question in my mind ' Do I deserve it'? Professionally I know I have been experimenting, always redefining my teaching strategies and desiring to learn more but when I compare myself to others, I always feel they know more and they are better. Is this more personal?

I am still working on the issue and dissecting my personality. Could be I suffer from low self esteem or could be, I see people more deserving than me receive it. I still need to work on this aspect.

Nevertheless an award signifies your achievements and motivates you to perform better. I already have planned more goals and tasks for myself.

I have also observed people's attitudes to your achievements. Surprisingly the closest have yet to call. A simple whattsapp message is all I received whereas acquaintances were overjoyed. The proudest were your parents who went on to share it anyone and everyone who would listen. Life is full of unpredictable scenes and there is a learning everywhere.

As I sit on my balcony, I truly reflect on all and thank the almighty for all his graciousness and silently enjoy the dramas played around.

  1. Congratulations for your award! You truly deserve every award you get.I consider myself lucky to have closely seen you working. You are most eager to take up new challenges and proavtively plan towards achieving them. The best quality about you is quick decision making and 'no rest' attitude till the task at hand is taken to completion.
I can sum up your personality through Swami Vivekananda's philosophy that as a teacher you never ceased to learn and that's the secret of your continuous growth and evolution as a teacher and leader.
